Description:
Citizens in Mezuta reported the disappearance of a farmer from his rooftop. Shouts from the victim were heard, but there were no witnesses. Search of the village and surrounding area showed no sign of the missing person.
Assessment:
No recent animal or bandit attacks have been reported in the area, but the missing person lived on the edge of the village. Most likely fell from his rooftop, dragged off by hyenas.
Response:
Action deferred, none required unless attacks in the area continue.

Hapimu (guard, outskirts) reported a significant reduction in crocodile attacks in the region. He offered no explanation as to why.

Description:
Menat (fish merchant) reported the theft of 6+ racks’ worth of fish from (and property damage to) his warehouse. Menat blamed his scribe for the shaky estimation of the quantity lost, but claims the responsibility for the “theft” falls upon a thief who leaves no tracks.
Assessment:
Merchant attempting to dodge responsibility of palatial contract. Existence of described thief impossible.
Response:
Menat was counselled on the severity of failing to uphold palatial contracts, and informed that the next shipment must be made in full before payments continue.

Description:
Ruta (craftsman, non-guild member) reported the unsolved theft of a recently constructed loom from his shop, which he left alone for “literally thirty fucking seconds.”
Assessment:
Reporting party was drunk and distraught at time of report. Information provided was inconclusive and a waste of the guards’ time.
Response:
Ruta was lightly beaten and sent away.
